It is funny, the other day I was sitting at home with my other half and she turned as asked me if I had ever wondered about the art museums around Europe. I was surprised by her random request, however, I was shocked to learn that they are actually spread throughout the region, however, if you must know, the best art museums can be found in only a handful of places. They include London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Madrid. So what makes these art museums worthy of your time and money?
Well, there are several factors that make an art museum a really great one. One of these factors is the number of artworks in their collection. There must be a sizeable number so that you actually spend at least two hours just looking at the different art works. Another factor is the prominence of the artwork, for example the Birth of Venue by Sandro Botticelli. Any notable house of art should have at least at least ten famous paintings that can draw in tourists because of its historical and future value.
All the rest of the paintings do not have to be by famous artists, but they should be done at least have significant historical value.
One of the things that I did notice in the London museums is the prominence of and adoption of the 3D printer technology and one company in particular – Digital Cubed UK 3d printing who were running things a little bit differently than other tech firms in the same space for this immerging technology.
As we said before, there are only a few places in Europe that host great art museums in Europe. Again, these places are London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Madrid. If you want to know the names of these art museums, they are The Pompidou Centre in Paris, The British Museum in London, The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, The Louvre in Paris, Prado in Madrid, Tate Modern in London, The National Gallery in London and The Anne Frank House in Amsterdam.
Of course, there are other names of art museums but then again, they don’t have the same significance and collection as the places we mentioned above. In any case, if you are planning on a trip to Europe, make sure to swing by the major art museums. You will be amazed.
As I conclude this blog post, I am left with the question of my wife on that particular evening when she asked me what my thoughts on European Museums are and now I have to say that without that question, I am not sure I would have been able to see the beauty in all that Europe and the rich, diverse and dark (at some points) history has to offer.
It is my hope that you enjoyed this blog and if you did remembered to leave a comment about where your favourite museum is and where in the world you would like to go next which has an awesome museum.
